And the small stuff too.....spikes for your running shoes, gum shields, sports supports...the list is endless. We don't know of anywhere else that has our range of goods, all under one roof with fantastic customer service. Cardiff Sportsgear was established in 1966 by Captain Neil Jordan and his wife Patricia, selling a wide range of sporting equipment and clothing. Initially opened in one unit on Whitchurch Road, we soon expanded into three further units, two of these being across the road (79-81). In 1993, Neil and Pat’s son Andrew joined the business and now runs the store. His sister Debbie has worked here for over 20 years, and our Manager, Bob Barrett has worked here for over 30 years. Over the years, we have diversified into many new ranges, significantly opening a further two units: a dedicated Pool and Snooker showroom in 1994 and one of the largest Fitness Equipment showrooms in Wales, in 1997. More recently we expanded into the rear of our store and closed 79-81 Whitchurch Road, thus giving customers the opportunity to view our extensive range of goods under one roof. 2008 saw the development of this website. This is an on-going project, with new products being added daily - given the range of products we sell, this is no mean feat! It has been a tough decision for us with regard to the website. In one respect, to compete in this current climate, we have no choice. However, we pride ourselves on giving you a wide choice of goods, coupled with our service and product knowledge. Where else can you view in person such an extensive range of fitness equipment, cricket gear, boxing equipment, outdoor clothing.......the list is endless.......all under one roof. So don’t forget about the shop – there are so few independent sports stores left. We believe they are vital to our community, helping young and old lead an active, fun filled lifestyle!
