This 16th century country house is on the slopes of the Quantock Hills, 15 miles from Exmoor National Park. It has quiet gardens, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a restaurant. The Castle of Comfort Country House is just off the A39, less than 10 miles from Bridgwater. The 5-star house has a Gold Award from VisitBritain. The house was a coaching inn during the 17th century and still has many original features, such as wooden beams. The Castle of Comfort is now a small country house providing 5-star guest accommodation. The en suite rooms have TVs, telephones, hairdryers, tea/coffee and free sherry. There are large gardens, a lounge for drinks and a restaurant that is open every evening except Sundays.

Evening meals must be pre-booked by 12:00 on the day of arrival at the latest. Please note that the pool is open from early May until late September, depending on the weather.
