The nearest bus stop is at the junction of Wentloog Road and Cae Glas Road on route number X4 and 3. Services Available We offer a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, talking books videos, DVDs and music CDs for adults and juniors, as well as a separate section for children with books, talking books, videos and DVDs. If an item is not available at our branch we can order it free of charge from any of the other Cardiff libraries. There is also a reference and information section which includes local and national newspapers, planning applications, and local Council information. There are six computer terminals with access to the Internet and Microsoft packages and there is also one terminal in the children's section. These are free for public use. A computer for members of the public to search the library catalogue is also available. In addition to this, the Rumney Family History Society has provided a computer that can be used specifically for genealogical research. Computer classes for the over 50's are run on a Friday morning. Classes cover topics such as Word Processing and Internet Use. We also have a reading group that meets on the first Tuesday of every month for discussions and refreshments. They read a wide selection of books and would welcome any new members. There is also a programme of Author visits that takes place on a regular basis. Storytime for pre-school children is held every Tuesday at 2.15pm. Visits from children's groups are also welcome and, if notified in advance, a storytime and craft activity can be arranged. Along with a selection from the Archive of Rumney and District History Society, there is a photographic history of Rumney from the late 1800s to 2000, which members of the public can access. We also have a local Rumney history file. There is a small display area available to local community groups. The local Age Concern "Good Neighbours Scheme" is also run from the community room in the library and is available to those who need help or advice later on in life.
